Scott Jones was born September 7th, 1965 in Stamford New York. He graduated from Cairo Durham H.S. in 1983 and moved on to receive college degrees from The State University of New York at Cobleskill in 1985 and Ferris State University in 1989. In 1990 he received his Class A PGA classification after fulfilling PGA internships at Congressional C.C. [Washington D.C.], Innisbrook Golf and Resort [Tampa], TPC at Sawgrass C.C. [Jacksonville], and Westchester C.C. [Rye, NY]. In 1992, he started teaching in South Florida at Kendale Lakes G.C. For almost 20 years he has had made a career of helping Miami Dade County residents learn to play better golf. Mr. Jones has developed Junior golf programs, one of his passions in the game, that have resulted in junior’s being recognized at a National Level. In 2001, he received the Southern Chapter PGA Teacher of The Year Award for his work with the aforementioned Christie Kerr, a Miami Dade resident by birth and upbringing, who is currently playing on the LPGA Tour and is the top rated American player. Scott has spent his entire 20-year career teaching people and organizing Junior golf programs at public courses in Miami Dade County
