Description

Zachary Newell was born in Westerly, Rhode Island where he was a multi-sport athlete all his life. After high school, Zach wanted to pursue a career in the sports industry, which led to attending Johnson & Wales University for Sports Management. During his junior year, he transferred to the North Miami campus to pursue a minor in golf management to begin his golf career. In 2014, Zach started his internship with the Crandon Golf Academy teaching junior golf. After graduating, Zach committed himself to his passion of teaching the game of golf at the Academy. He believes that the number one priority of all golfers is to enjoy learning and playing the game of golf. Zach is known for his patience, excitement and care for every student. In 2015, Zach received his certification as a U.S. Kids golf instructor. He is currently a PGA Apprentice and is pursuing his goal to become a certified Class a Teaching Professional through the Professional Golf Management Program (PGA).
